Are the e-bikes on your website eligible for Cyclescheme (as well as similar schemes?)

We do accept many common Cyclescheme vouchers.

Can my e-bike move without pedalling?

In order to comply with legal regulations, your e-bike is set up to assist your pedalling, rather than replace it completely. However, some models of e-bike can have an overide mechanism built in - please ask instore for advice.

Do I need to wear a crash helmet?

You do not need to wear a crash helmet to ride your e-bike; however, we strongly recommend that you wear a good helmet as it may save your life in the event of a crash!

Do I need to service my e-bike?

You should bring your e-bike into an approved servicing facility at least once a year for a check-up.

Do I need insurance to ride my e-bike?

You do not need insurance to ride your e-bike; however, we strongly recommend that you obtain insurance to protect you in case you are involved in an incident with someone.

Do I need a licence to ride my e-bike?

You do not need a licence to ride your e-bike.

Does my e-bike need an MOT?

Your e-bike does not need an MOT.

Does my e-bike have a warranty?

Your e-bike will come with a minimum warranty of 2 years. (Individual components may have an extended warranty).

Does my e-bike need road tax?

Your e-bike does not need road tax.

How long will my e-bike's battery last?

Your e-bike's battery should be perfectly functional for at least 2 - 2.5 years (this estimate assumes daily charges).

How do I recharge my e-bike?

To recharge your e-bike, simply plug the battery into the included wall charger. You can charge the battery when it's attached to the bike, or you can charge it while it's detached.

How will I know when my e-bike's battery needs recharging?

Your e-bike has a battery attached to the frame, where there should be a series of coloured LED's to indicate the battery's current charge level. The less LED's that are lit up, the lower the battery's charge level.

How much does it cost to recharge my e-bike?

It costs between approximately 3-7 pence to fully recharge your e-bike.

How fast does my e-bike go?

As per EU law, your e-bike's motor will electronically assist your pedalling up to a maximum speed of 15.5 mph. Past this speed, your e-bike will continue to operate, but the motor stop assisting you until you start travelling at a speed below 15.5 mph again.

How reliable is my e-bike?

Your e-bike is well made using best-in-class components, backed by the some of the world's largest bike part manufacturers - you can be rest assured that your new e-bike is extremely reliable.

How do I order and pay for an e-bike on your website?

To order and pay for an e-bike on our website, you simply need to add the bike you're interested in to your shopping cart. Then, click 'Checkout' and you'll be guided through a simple process to pay for and arrange delivery of your bike.

Is my e-bike road-legal?

Your e-bike is completely road-legal.

What is the range of my e-bike?

This can vary depending on the motor your e-bike is equipped with. For example, the "Bosch Drive Unit Performance Cruise" gives approximately 35-70 miles on a single charge. The "Bosch Drive Unit Active Cruise" gives you approximately 45-80 miles on a single charge. Other factors affecting the potential range of your e-bike include the terrain you are riding on and the power setting your e-bike is using.

Where can you deliver your e-bikes to?

We can deliver anywhere within mainland UK. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to customers in the Scottish Highlands.
